Healthcare Communications will now offer patient experience and multi-channel appointment reminders under GPSoC.

The Health and Social Care Information Centre (HSCIC) announced that Healthcare Communications has been awarded a contract on Lot 2 of the GP Systems of Choice (GPSoC) Framework.

Lot 2 suppliers can now access Principal Clinical Systems such as EMIS and Vision via the Interface Mechanism. This includes additional GP IT services that facilitate the Friends and Family Test and Appointment bookings.

“The growth in digital GP services will have a major impact for patient experience under this framework and we welcome the opportunity to access the GP sector to support this program.” said Mike Cunningham, MD at Healthcare Communications. “The opportunity to interface with all the clinical systems will improve supplier choice and innovation. It feels great to deliver our market leading products in line with our CCG and GP practice client requests.

Being on this framework allows us to extend the company’s patient services into the GP sector, that currently cover over 26 million NHS Trust Outpatient appointments in England. With our patient experience expertise and client footprint in both primary and secondary sectors, we will become an essential component for CCG’s digital strategy.”
